Fort Worth, Texas is a city where culture and heritage thrive together. Known for its legendary western roots, this city embraces the arts and is home to some of the most beautifully designed museums in the world, with outstanding collections and a vibrant performing arts scene.

On Saturday, September 24, eight cultural destinations will offer free admission and many of Fort Worth's cultural organizations will offer free performances in and around each destination. We welcome you to enjoy the rich cultural experiences that Fort Worth has to offer during the fourth annual Day in the District, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free transportation within the Cultural District will be provided by The Fort Worth Transportation Authority (The T).



Day in the District also coincides with National Museum Day, so bring your family out to the celebrated Cultural District and enjoy free admission to a variety of art and cultural exhibitions, family-friendly activities and live performances by some of Fort Worth’s favorite arts groups.

4th of July in Fort Worth! Fort Worth's Fourth!


Enjoy some of old-fashioned fun this 4th of July


on the banks of the Trinity River

behind LaGrave Field at Trinity Uptown.

Celebrate with the best fireworks show in town!




Additional event information:



•Inner tubes, kayaks and swim up barges are available free of charge

•A variety of food, beverages, frozen treats and Coors beer will be available for purchase.

•Fresh cut watermelon and cold water are complimentary.

•You are welcome to bring picnics, coolers, non-alcoholic beverages, blankets, lawn chairs, small pop-up tents, dogs on leashes (please bring water bowl)

•Fort Worth Cats game begins at 4:35 p.m. Fireworks begin after the Cats game ends.

•Parking is available at LaGrave Field for $5 or free along the side streets of North Main. Avoid the hassle by using the Trinity Trails to ride your bike to the event!

It's that time of year again! Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo! 1/14 - 2/5



The long list of exciting events at The 2011 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo kicks off this Friday the 14th with the Best of the West Ranch Rodeo!


And The All Western Parade in DownTown Fort Worth is Saturday the 15th at 11am! Here is a map of the parade route!

Tickets for admission to the Stock Show grounds can be purchased upon arrival.
General admission tickets permit access to all livestock events, educational programs, commercial exhibits and carnival/midway.


Adults: $10

Children 6 – 16: $5

Children 5 & Under: free



Each Rodeo Ticket is good for your General Admission to the grounds on the day of the performance.

Rodeo Tickets start at $16 and top out at $22 I believe depending on the performance!
