Friends of the Fort Worth Public Library
This may be a trip for some but book sales at the Friends of the Library Book Store are wonderful sources for both popular and hard-to-find titles. Thousands of books, sorted and categorized, are available in adult and children's literature at very reasonable prices. Proceeds from sales support Library collections, programs, and services.
This is a great little book store full of everything you can think of...audio books, paperbacks, videos, dvds, and hard backs. They may not have everything, but the shelves are well organized by the volunteers that work there and you can spend hours browsing the shelves just looking at all they have. Copies of various media range from used library copies to barely used donations from library patrons. They even have a small section of first editions and autographed copies.

Goodwill Stores

Though not the first place you would think to look, many of these stores have awesome selections at dirt-cheap prices. Keep in mind you'll normally have to put some effort into looking and the book quality won't always be perfect, but these stores are great places to pick up older romance novels, best sellers from the past, and a wide array of kids books.
The Hurst superstore and the Watauga store have a better selection than most.
You can also get an extra 50% off already low price when you catch goodwill on a sale day.
